It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his job depends on not understanding it.

Human Nature
The topic has been there in my mind since really looooooong time. But I haven't been really doing anything beside work. Anyway, 'Human Nature' sort of just clicked in as title. There is a music group called 'Human Nature'. It seems Australian. But thats not what I am here talking about. Really Human Nature.
I've been watching movies and TV serial lately a lot especially TV serials. Friends, Scrubs, Will & Grace, Sienfield, Everybody Loves Raymond and few more. All I have observed in all the characters is that although they are fictitious, their nature is real. Somewhere you have seen one of the characters in real life that you've seen in that movie or that serial you've watched. I am not saying anything new here. Isn't it? But what I have enjoyed is that in those serials, movies, I could notice the nature of man. I think of the nature of character. Usually, what I have found myself is, I don't really consciously think of human nature in real life. That just means, I know subconsciously about a person's nature I 'm dealing with and I just deal with that person accordingly whether it be my boss, colleague, friend or family member. I think its confusing what I am writing here.
Anyway, this week I've been watching Scrubs. It somewhat depicts the life of people who work in hospital excluding me of course. Why excluding me, is another story and that does not mean I don't work in hospital. But I can say that for sure that Hospitals have different working environment and different kind of people working there including doctors, cleaners, nurses etc. Most of their life goes in hospitals and they have this untold bonding among each other which is other than bonding of work colleague relation. Its very friendly, although won't call it real friendly friendly. But way better then any company environments. Although, this is just my derivation for work environments in companies based on working in only 1 company, that too part-time hardly 1 or 2 day a week for only 3 months. And mostly its wrong.
Anyway, back to the human nature, people act in different way to different people. And this obviously does not mean that the person has many faces. And that's what is interesting. You know you have acted differently to your school friend then to your college friend. And even way out of line, so differently to your friend whom you met at your office. Still, its hard to figure out if the person is acting, being who he is or he really has multiple fake faces that he puts on to different people. But I guess thats something you will never figure out until you become invisible and actually see what other person does when you are not around him/her. Isn't it?

Cheeky movies
I just watched a cheeky movie 'Along Came Poly'. Now, I'm not exactly sure what is the definition of cheeky movie. But for such romantic movies, I consider them as cheeky movies. You may find some good dialogues in there with some impressive acts to handle relationship which are sometimes ideal and sometimes practical. Most of them are funny as well which is quite good for people who enjoy simple humour. Basically a good timepass. But when guys get together and talking about movies, they talk about all movies other than these cheeky movies so called 'romantic movies'. That happens to me as well. Infact, I don't know if I would comment on a particular movie like that. Like here, I'm not saying anything about 'Along Came Poly'. Who so ever is coming along, I don't mind ;-)

Poor Kate!!
Well, my desk was moved to another office a month ago. However, my department is still same, I was just physically relocated to this office to accomodate few people into my office. Anyway new office is pretty good. I've got very good window view towards city and got 2 attractive receptionists. Although, I wasn't formally introduced to the people who work in this new office. It was sort of like sneak in there and take up the empty desk. However, I knew people whom I sit with presently in the room. But didn't know other people in the office including those receptionists.
Eventually, I heard one of the co-worker in my room called one receptionist by her name and I heard that. So, I knew her name. But didn't know the other's name.
Although, I noticed that in the kitchen area they had a notice stating 'If you run out of milk, please tell Kate or Venessa'. So, I knew who Venessa is and so I figured who is Kate. You know, logic! ;-)
Last week, I was expecting an internal mail. So, I had to tell receptionists that if they receive anything under Ujjaval that's me. Kate was there. I tried to use her derived name 'Kate' to call her. I told her 'Kate, I am expecting an internal mail and my name is Ujjaval; so if you receive anything under that name its me'. She looked up at me and stared at me. After a while, she said 'I'm not Kate. She used to work here before me. I am Megan and today is my last day.' The look on her face was complaining about being called by wrong name on the last day of the job. And I had the very rude reply for that. "O! Sorry. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you so that you know." My conversation ends there. I can say, she took pain to think about how did I get her name as Kate and not Megan. Next time, I went to kitchen and the milk-notice was removed.
Poor Kate! or Poor Megan! I feel sorry for her. It would have been hard that people whom you work around don't even know your correct name. :-)

Ranjit!!
Just a while ago, Umang tried to imagine that what if my name was 'Ranjit' instead of 'Ujjaval'. As in me as Ranjit. We found this combo very funny and laughed a lot. 'Ranjit'!. Really, that name sounds funny on me.

Job Hunting.. bit bored
I've got 3 important jobs to apply. But I don't feel like applying. I've got a copy of resume, but they are asking the documents like Statement of Purpose and How do I fit myself to the selection criteria etc...Really, I feel like I don't want to write these documents. But I know I have to and I will, not tonight; tomorrow morning.
Another blog started - USuthar Labs
I still wonder about the blog that I started 'USuthar Labs'. It is at http://usutharlabs.blogspot.com . I had some thoughts about this. This title 'USuthar Labs' has been in my mind since long time. Also I had different ideas about various things/applications/technology. Well, mostly I'll be posting them on there. My ideas won't be some real original ideas always. Mostly things similar to them will be outthere somewhere in the world. But far from me ;-) .
